INEOS: Feasibility Study for a 400 M€ Greenfield Electrolyte Plant
2023
Conceptual development and site integration of an asset development project including a cost estimation.

WBS clusters comprised a production building for the continuous process plant, raw material tank farm & unloading, product tank farm & loading, electrical building for 3MW energy supply, control room and production offices building, a gas liquefaction plant and infrastructure for the plot & site in Cologne.
​
The project adhered to INEOS corporate technical and stage-gate project process standards.
Synthomer: Head of Engineering & Maintenance
2019 - 2022 with unlimited procuration
Leading engineering and technical asset reliability, maintenance and development of three polymerisation “Störfallanlagen” (hazardous materials processing plants) for latices at the Marl site.

Developing and managing the 5-year capital plan for the site and the project programme as well as an integrated execution and funding strategy.
​
Liaising with regional authorities. Nominated as Site Responsible Engineer in accordance with § 52b organisation under the Federal Emissions Law and operational safety regulation (Betriebssicherheitsverordnung). Ensuring legal compliance of technical activities in engineering, projects and maintenance.

Synthomer: Senior Project Manager for a Brownfield EPCM Latex Plant
2026 -2019 with unlimited procuration
Exchange and scale-up of two reactor lines in the running plant and adding just-in-time tank farm with loading and pigging above the street and road tankers at 35M€ investment cost.

Creating and implementing a strategic work organisation based on internal lead resources from EMEA plants, support resources to the lead SYNTHOMER team and selecting and aligning EPCM contractors.

Developing and implementing a project procurement workflow. Execution of project procurement as procurement manager. Comprising a transfer package of project procurement process and forms for transfer to Project Excellence.

Leading and managing the Basic Engineering and developing the EPCM tender, including the tendering process.
Preparing a cost estimation +/- 10%.

Swing reactor development for NBR and XSBR with Synthomer.
​
Fixed price lump-sum Basic and Detail Engineering with Procurement to change a reactor line to the requirements of a new latex type (XSBR) and meet sales and delivery deadlines with the start-up. Site support on reimbursable basis.
​
50+ pieces of mechanical equipment and 300+ lines with 60+ tie-ins were installed with 400+ instruments and 25+ consumers in a project with an overall investment of over 20M$.
​
For the lifting of the stripper into the operating plant, a mobile 500t crane was scheduled. The lift was the key milestone of the project.

2012-13 JOB-4 Low Conversion Latex ExpansionMalaysia
​
Fixed price lump sum Basic and Detail Engineering with Procurement to allow for production of a new latex type (Low Conversion NBR) and meet sales and delivery deadlines with the start-up for Synthomer. Site support on reimbursable basis.
​
80+ pieces of mechanical equipment and 300+ lines with 80+ tie-ins were installed with 200+ instruments and 20+ consumers in a project with an overall investment of over 20M$.
